The Care Center's Services
The CARE Center's services revolve around our child and family-friendly facility and our multidisciplinary partners, which include social services, law enforcement, prosecution, medical, and mental health agencies and individuals.

    Multidisciplinary Review
    A team response to serious child maltreatment allegations includes representation from all partners. Monthly Multidisciplinary Team case review and information sharing helps identify strategies to best help the child and family and move the case forward.

    Forensic Interviews
    Investigators trained in Forensic Interviewing helps us obtain a statement from the child victim in an objective, sensitive, and legally defensible manner.

    Family & Victim Advocacy
    Services for child victims and family members includes referrals to services/resources, legal preparation, and support throughout the intervention process.

    Trauma-Focused Assessment & Therapy
    Assessment of child and family functioning and the impact of victimization helps the child and family begin their journey toward healing.

    Law Enforcement & Prosecution
    Coordinated law enforcement investigations and legal services ensure that the child is safe and that the perpetrator is prosecuted.
  6. 6
    Medical Evaluations
    Forensic physical exams performed by doctors and nurses specializing in Child Abuse Pediatrics help reassure children about their physical health.
Community Awareness & Prevention
Programs for the general community help raise awareness, encourage residents to report child abuse, and help families parent more effectively.
